But By Love Serve One Another

solves a lot

Every day, especially in the nighttime and also in the daytime, we should pause for just a few minutes to rewind and rehearse and re-enjoy the love of God.

First, let's start with a couple verses.

We're talking about God-level love.

Here it is, Galatians 5.13, simple phrase,

Absorb this deep into your spirit.

It says, but by love serve one another.

That could go on a tombstone.

That's high quality stuff.

But by love serve one another.

What's the motive?

Love.

How do we get along?

Serving.

You know, it's really easy to get along with somebody who wants to serve you.

Did you know it's really easy to work?

For a boss who's trying to find ways to serve his workers.

Do you know it's a lot less stress in any relationship when both people are following this simple phrase, but by love serve one another.

Boom-tastic.

That's the solution.

Give me some of that medicine.

Two scoops.

Here it is.

Let's go to another one about love.

Ephesians 3:17 “That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith Semi-colon, which means please continue the thought that ye being rooted and grounded in love How are we gonna have Christ dwell in our hearts by faith?

We need to be rooted and grounded in love deep roots Grounded I don't know if that's an electrical term, but I think it means connected

to something like a grounding wire, fully stabilized, not overly charged, grounded.

Here it is now, Galatians 5 verse 6.

It says, But faith which worketh by love.

What is the fuel that allows faith to work?

Now we need faith to please God.

We've got to believe.

What is the fuel?

I want to believe because I've chosen to love.

You ever told somebody, I believe in you?

Have you ever received those words?

Have you ever thought to yourself, I want to believe the best about that person and my desire to exercise belief toward them must be fueled and founded upon clear gospel divine love.

Love helps generate belief.

And all of us need someone to believe in us, and we need to believe in the truth.

Love and faith make it along just fine.

John, 1 John 5-2, By this we know that we love the children of God.

How do we know that we're loving somebody?

By this we know that we love the children of God.

I'm going to call them fellow believers.

Here it is.

Here's one way we know that we love the children of God, when we love God.

So when we love God, that's how we know we are loving the children of God.

If you want to love a parent, love on their kids,

says, I mean the right way, properly, like genuinely care and express God-level love for someone's offspring and the parents will feel amazing.

So by this we know that we love the children of God when we love God and keep His commandments.

What does that mean?

What is love?

It's love enough to follow simple instructions.

When I'm in the habit

of being connected with God enough that I'm following simple instructions from on high, then I won't have contention following simple instructions from my fellow believers.

Now love cannot just be expressed in words.

Love is an action.

Love is a mindset.

Love is a spirit.

Love is of God.

And love should evoke a depth …

within us even to an artistic rendering where we should want to express our appreciation for love and our resonance of love from God to others in song even if we sing it wrong.

Here's a look at love Himself.

See from His head, His hands …

His Feet.

Are you looking at Him?

Do you see Him up there?

That's love eternal expressing under strong pressure.

See from His head, His hands, His feet.

Sorrow and love

Flow mingled down, did e'er such love and sorrow meet, or thorns compose so rich a crown?

What's our response when looking at the Love of our life on the cross, suffering in our place?

Here it is.

Were the whole realm of nature mine, That were a present far too small, Love so amazing, so divine, Demands my life, my love, my all!!!

When I Survey the Wondrous Cross.

There it is.

What's the story behind it?

I don't know.

I don't know who wrote it.

Who wrote the hymn When I Survey the Wondrous Cross?

Sir Isaac Watts.

That is the correct answer, sir.

You win the prize.

When was it written?

Oh, back in the 1600s.

in the mid-1600s.

When will it be sung?

For ever and ever.

Yeah, do you sing about love?

Do you love God enough?

Let's by love serve one another.

Let's by love believe in God and believe in one another.

Let's

By love, follow God's instructions so we're not contentious and cantankerous and angry and frustrated whenever we get instructions from our fellow man because we're loving God so much that we're following Him that it's super easy to follow instructions and guidance from our fellow humans and we don't take it personal.

When someone says, hey could you do this for me?

“I would love to serve you.”

Amen.

Romans 5:5, Hope maketh not ashamed because the love of God, here's the source, is shed abroad …

That means fully broadcast in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, which is given unto us.

So if you want to tap into the roots of the fruits of the source of love, because you're feeling like you're out of love yourself and you don't have love to give to the world or to God,

Just remind yourself, according to Romans 5, 5, the love of God is shed abroad.

Sounds like beams of light bursting through in our hearts.

Our hearts can be a pretty dark place, but here the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, which is given unto us.

Amen.

By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, or disciplined ones, or followers, or avid friends, or excited believers.

By this shall all men know, it'll be abundantly obvious, that ye are My disciples if ye have love one to another.

Where does the love come from?

Not me.

Yield, trust, allow, infuse, and refresh your love.

from God by taking a look at what He's done for you.

Do you feel loved?

Do you deliver love?

Are you a conduit of love to somebody today?
