and what you can do about it.
There is a list.
There’s plenty.
Please don’t get discouraged.
(Fear not. There is a solution.)
Oftentimes however, solutions are not felt necessary until we first face the fear presented by evil.
What evils?
Our earning power is being drained away from us. That feels evil.
Evils of war.
Democide is death caused by government policies.
Death by neglect of healthy habits.
Death by medical malpractice.
Death by intentional deception.
There are evils of human trafficking.
Evil of inbound, free-flow fentanyl.
Evils of child abuse.
Evil of eliminating innocent, preborn people.
The evil of easy access to false substitutes on a screen.
Virtual reality porn expected to exceed $1 billion in revenue within two years of launch, … in addition to the baseline $16.9 billion wasted money per year in America alone in that industry.
The greatest evil is not financial.
The greatest evil is not even physical oppression, as bad as pain may be.
The greatest evil must be the longest-lasting evil.
The greatest evil results in eternal separation from God for ever. ♾️ 🔁
The greatest evil is preventing that opportunity for salvation. [Oh, that’s not possible, … but it is.]
The greatest evil is blocking the gospel.
The greatest evil is non-participation.
Lacking sensitivity to the gospel’s supernatural pathway forward.
Hindering the gospel’s free-flow.
The gospel flows from love.
Love from God and love for God … resounds in love toward our fellow beings.
My money being taken…
My options being reduced…
My freedom being eviscerated…
My health being siphoned-away…
All pales in comparison to my soul, being separated from God for ever in the Lake of Fire.
Christ invites us, “… follow Me. For whosoever will SAVE his life shall LOSE it; but whosoever shall lose his life for 1) My sake and 2) the Gospel's [sake], the same shall save it [Pause to explain. Save his life … hmmmm, lose the first life to keep the second life. Keep safe and sound, means to rescue from danger or destruction, to avert next-world suffering and perishing. The proposition is yielding this present body over to any necessary risk for the benefit of Christ and His Gospel, in confidence that in the next world, we experience full restoration of health and healing, and reward. Marked preserved and delivered from penalties of the wrath to come.]. (The verse continues) … For what shall it PROFIT a man, if he shall GAIN the whole world, and LOSE his own soul? Or what shall a man give in EXCHANGE for his soul?” Mark 8.
Lose my life for Christ’s sake and the Gospel’s sake?
Interesting proposal to ponder.
Gain … lose.
What do I gain and what do I lose?
Keep … or exchange.
The obvious answer to the open question from Christ is … a person would gladly give absolutely everything in exchange to retain the safety of their soul 100 years from now. When all of life‘s gain is zero.
How can evil be overcome? Only with the help of God.
Having obtained help of God, we can together remove the confusion which obstructs the reception of Messianic deliverance. :)
Having Obtained Help … [those words smell and taste so deliriously unexplainable.]
Acts 26:22 “Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come”
Have you obtained help of God? For what purpose then?
So, how can evil can be overcome?
John 16:25 “These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you PLAINLY of the Father.”
Clarity evaporates evil.
Simplicity supersedes evil.
Gospel vaporizes evil.
Scripture outsmarts evil.
Witnessing outdoes evil.
Wisdom excelleth folly.
Light exceeds Darkness.
Believing crumbles evil.
Faith conquers evil.
Delivery bypasses evil.
Reception (boom) disconnects evil.

Unplug the news.
Focus on the gospel.
Take part in this righteous uprising against evil.

There is no neutrality.
I am either actively sharing Light, or I am allowing the creep of Darkness.
This is war for topography. We gain ground or we give ground.
Ecc 8:8, “… there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.”
There is no discharge in the war against death and evil. Immersing one’s self further into wickedness is not the pathway to deliverance from evil. We fight to the death, while introducing people to new-true-life in Christ.
The audience understood the simple phrase Christ included in His model prayer: “deliver us from evil”, for that whole audience grew up in a culture of knowing and even singing Psalm 140:1 “Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man.”
What activates protection against evil people and their influence?
Answer: accomplishing the greatest Divine good.
We are protected for this purpose.
Gospel-carriers and gospel-givers have special protection promised against evil by God Himself.
2 Timothy 4:17,18 “Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that [for the purpose that …] by me the preaching might be FULLY KNOWN, and that ALL the Gentiles might hear [Hear what? the preaching of the gospel]: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion 🦁 [That’s likely a spiritual reference to Satan himself. Being delivered OUT means he was first IN the mouth of that lion.]. And the Lord shall DELIVER me from every evil work, and will PRESERVE me unto His heavenly kingdom: to Whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”
