What do you believe?
Who believes … that you believe it?
That list can increase.
Is what you believe worthy?
Worthy of delivery and reception. Certainly. That’s why you believe it.
Belief flows. It goes. Has to.
What we truly believe cannot be well hidden for long.
A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.
People know.
They do.
You believe something.
You believe Someone.
Far better to believe in Someone than some-thing. :)
Reduce and remove all barriers to sharing.
Focus on why what you believe is believe-able.
Why did you believe it?
What initially drew you to believe in your position or Person?
Is your belief inferior? How so?
Is your belief awkward or embarrassing? Examine that.
Being ashamed is kind of the opposite of believing.
Can’t be ashamed and believe at the same time, unless you’re a really good juggler. :)
Gotta hold to one or the other. Believe it or abandon it.
“Can’t bring up God around the holidays because He’s a controversial figure.”
Oh, and who is allergic to healthy controversy?
100% harmony among humans is not the goal.
Sharing ideas is.
Equipping others with the information upon which to form a proper decision about what is most believable … that sounds healthy.
I am morally obligated to help people. I am morally obligated to protect others from danger.
Why are we designed as conversational creatures at all? If not to share what we believe. With humility and grace. With an ambient of intrigue. With open questions.
Do people like listening to you? How does your spirit make people feel? Ambushed? At ease? Do people bloom and release positivity in a conversation with you?
Do I drive others like I drive myself?
How can I become a gentler, more Christlike soul?
Seems like good things just intrinsically flowed out of His inner well.
People loved listening to Him … til time paused. Hours and days. The students forgot to bring snacks; still hanging onto His words.
That’s intriguing, yes?
That which is truly believed, by definition and nature, must be eagerly passed-along to a qualified audience.
\What qualifies a listener as open to the Gospel?
1. Creature
“preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15.
2. Understanding
“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened” Eph 1:18. Capable of comprehending and processing spiritual concepts.
3. Curious
Gotta want it. “But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have DESIRED to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and [DESIRED] to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.” Matt 13:16,17. Open to the concept.
4. Not spiritually blind … or not wanting to remain blind.
“Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:” Eph 4:18.
5. Ordained
“And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed” So disposed: to appoint on one's own responsibility or authority. Willing to make a choice. Ready.
6. Punctured
“Now when they heard this, they were pricked G2660 in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?” Pierce: metaphysically to pain the mind sharply, agitate it vehemently, especially of the emotion of sorrow. Indicating the presence of the convicting awareness of the Holy Spirit working.
7. Desiring clean information
“Let him that is taught G2727 in the word communicate unto him that teacheth G2727 in all good things.” Gal 6:6. Keyword in this verse means to charm with resounding sound, to fascinate; inform by word of mouth properly. Best transfer transpires when both the student and the teacher are enthusiastic about exploring the content! :)
8. Receiver
Being a recipient of some source. Be that transfer verbal. Or on a flat surface. Usually words help. There is a transmitter and a receiver. “Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter; who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved” Acts 11:13,14.
Let’s be ready for delivery.
Let’s be that conduit of joy.
Introduce people to your Source.
