Yes, sir. I shared a little outline. I talk too much, so I have to stick to an outline.
About a half hour ago in here, somebody mentioned God’s timing briefly. So I started pulling up a couple of verses. I put it down in the chat if you want to follow.
But Galatians 4, I love this. God says,
Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. But when the fullness of time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
When did He show up? In the fullness of time. Not one day or dollar late
We all know Ecclesiastes says He hath made all things beautiful in His time.
Romans 5 says,
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Psalm 102 says, we know the story of Joseph. He was in slavery and prison for a long time before God put him in position to feed many nations.
Elijah, on Mount Carmel, prayed, and then the fire of the Lord fell.
Very interesting story about Lazarus, where Jesus deliberately delayed His arrival. It says He abode two days still that you might believe.
Psalm 31, David said, My times are in Thy hands.
A fellow named Leonard Ravenhill said, “The opportunity of a lifetime must be seized within the lifetime of the opportunity.”
He must have been a dad. He has dad jokes.
All right. So, surely God, the timeless One, has never arrived at the wrong time.
I heard a wise man, kind of like a grandfather, he said, God knows what time it is in your life right now.
There may be a few here that are still resisting the beautiful offer of salvation. It’s only available on God’s terms.
And there’s a passage that says,
Today, if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts.
Because today might be the day of your salvation.
And then I got two songs. I don’t really know them that well. The first one, I’ve never played a song, but I think I’m going to try to play it because you’ll recognize the tune a lot better if you hear it in the background.
He’s a perfectly on time God.
Something that’s funny to me is that I had to play that at 1.25 speed because they sing it too slow. The timing was off. But anyway.
All right, the next song is by the McKameys. Everybody knows that one. I’ll just start reading it. And then when the spirit kicks in, you all know this song.
They sent for Jesus. Hey, your friend’s about to die. But He still tarried on behind. So they laid dear Lazarus in a tomb and said their last goodbye.
But coming down the road was Jesus. Right on time.
Just hold on, my child, because He’s not too far away, and He knows your need before you pray. So when your feet are weary from the mountain you have climbed, look ahead, here comes Jesus right on time.
I’ve struggled through life’s deserts, they were so hot and dry. Till it seemed all hope was gone and I would die. I wondered, where was He? Is He still a friend of mine?
Coming down the road was Jesus right on time.
Just hold on, my child, because He’s not so far away. And He knows your need before you pray. When your feet are weary from the mountain you have climbed, look ahead. Here comes Jesus right on time.
